Join us for an evening of discussions on whether “Desire is Dead” with Curator Adele Tan and our invited speakers Yanyun Chen and Zulkhairi Zulkiflee. Debating how desire finds tension within the state apparatus, the panel will ruminate on how desire tends to exceed and overrun its boundaries and affect how we relate to each other bodily and politically.

Featuring curators from various backgrounds, including Berny Tan, Michelle Ho and Syed Muhd Hafiz, gain deeper insight into the changing definition, roles, and function of the museum today. With the multitudes of variations across each museum’s manifestation and curatorial focuses, the panel seeks to uncover the fundamental characteristics that define their operations and justify their continued existence.
