OH! Open House is a rapidly growing arts organisation. We are a small and dedicated team, and every single person plays in important part in bringing our programmes to life. 





WHY OH! OPEN HOUSE?


OH! tells alternative stories of Singapore. Coming on board means playing a part in ensuring that important stories of individuals, communities and our society are shared and not buried.  

When you join OH!, you’re a part of a community of staff, artists, volunteers, and friends who all come together to make our programmes happen. This family works hard, but we also play hard. We regularly make the time to see exhibitions, go out together, and we frequently organise activities like artist talks and neighbourhood walks for our entire community.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER


OH! Open House is looking for our next marketing and communications manager. You will be the craftsman behind communications initiatives and campaigns for the organisation, develop a variety of skills and have a hand in bringing art closer to the masses.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the curatorial team to strategise and execute marketing and public relations campaigns for all programmes
  • Content creation and management of all marketing and communications materials, including EDMs, social media, online advertising and offline marketing collaterals
  • Research and analyse market trends
  • Manage public relations, including cultivating relationships with media representatives, crafting press releases, media monitoring and pitching
  • Assist in sales, B2B outreach, and maintaining online listings
  • Assist the team in execution of programmes

Requirements:
Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field. Candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in conceptualising and executing digital marketing plans
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with ability to communicate complex ideas in an accessible manner
  • Strong understanding of social media
  • Detail oriented and able to multitask within tight deadlines
  • Creative, quick-thinking and ability to learn fast.

Preferred
  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a marketing role
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D CAD software and video editing skills
  • Knowledge about the local and/or regional visual arts scene

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.



CURATORIAL INTERN


We are looking to hire recent graduates through our internship programme, where candidates progress from intern to trainee status, with a chance for permanent hire at the end. The internship programme is minimally 3 months in duration, and full time. Shorter durations and part time intern applications are not accepted. Compensation is tiered.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in curatorial research and prepare presentations for different audiences.
  • Assist in supplying different departments with relevant research when required.
  • Assist in liaising with artists and other stakeholders e.g.: volunteers.
  • Assist with any related administrative duties.
  • Assist the team in execution of programmes, including the installation and deinstallation of artworks.
  • Support the Curatorial Team and Artistic Director in achieving their artistic ambitions.

Requirements:
  • Able to commit to a minimum 3 month full time internship. Candidates that can commit up to 5 or 6 months are preferred.
  • Creative, quick-thinking and ability to learn fast.
  • Able to work under high pressure, stressful situations and deal with tight timelines. Ability to multi task is essential.
  • Clear communicator, in person and writing.
  • Is a research monster: can dig up obscure facts, has the intuition to follow interesting trends to fruitful ends, can add critical value to a google search.
