OH! tells alternative stories of Singapore. Coming on board means playing a part in ensuring that important stories of individuals, communities and our society are shared and not buried.

OH! STORIES: ARTS BUSINESS MANAGER

OH! Open House is looking for an Arts Business Manager to oversee the development and growth of OH’s permanent art experiences.

You will be the key person in a business development role, producing and maintaining a suite of immersive art experiences set around various districts of Singapore. You will also be working on building sales partnerships, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and will have a hand in combining art and tourism to offer audiences an alternative side of Singapore beyond the usual touristic fare. You are expected to manage the day-to-day operations of our first permanent art experience in Jalan Besar as part of induction. 


Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Strategise and execute short and long term plans for a permanent art experience product, have an oversight over supporting departments
  • Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of the art experience (Facilities, maintenance of spaces, manpower planning, staffing, ticketing)
  • Administration: Reports, grant applications, annual/ad hoc audits
  • Partnerships: Research and secure partnerships, including preparing and delivering pitches
  • Production: Liaise directly with artists, vendors, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful production of the experience
  • Marketing & Communications: Work with the Marketing & Communications manager on campaigns, conduct market research and analysis
  • Fundraising & Sales: Oversee crowdfunding initiatives, ticket sales and ticketing partners/platforms 


Requirements

Essential
  • Singaporean/PR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Tourism Management, Arts Administration or a related field
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience with writing in a business context, e.g. grants, proposals, sales pitches
  • Creative, quick-thinking and ability to learn fast
  • Detail oriented, able to work independently and multitask within tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays 

Preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a managerial or partnerships role
  • Has a passion for the Singapore arts scene
  • Strong knowledge about the local and/or regional visual arts scene
  • Strong knowledge of latest trends and social media
  • Strong knowledge in Excel
  • Flexibility to work in a startup environment

OH! STORIES: NEW WORLD’S END
FRONT-OF-HOUSE STAFF (PART-TIME)


OH! Open House is looking for part-time Front-of-House staff to run OH! Stories: New World’s End, OH’s first-ever permanent art experience at Jalan Besar. It is an audio-guided tour that brings the audience through immersive sets and the backalleys of Jalan Besar. You will be the person on the ground to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate guest SafeEntry check-in, temperature-taking, ticket check-in and guest declaration
  • Introduce guests to the tour and provide instructions of how to use the audio set
  • Manage distribution, collection, and sanitisation of audio sets
  • Conduct crowd control under Covid-19 safety measures whenever required
  • Assist with guests’ enquiries on the ground and communicate guests’ feedback to the OH team
  • Carry out basic daily maintenance duties at the beginning and end of the shift

Requirements
  • Singaporean or PR
  • Positive attitude and willing to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoy working in the arts/tourism field is preferred

Hourly Rate
SGD $8 / hour

Dress Code
  • Black top with jeans/pants
  • A staff badge will be provided for the day
  • No shorts and no flip flops

Working Hours
  • Fri - Sun and public holidays: 4.45 - 11.15 pm, including 45 min meal break*
*Meal breaks will be staggered among FOH staff

Tour Hours
  • Fri - Sun and public holidays: 5.30 - 11pm (last tour leaves at 10pm)

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
MANAGER/EXECUTIVE

OH! Open House is looking for our next marketing and communications manager. You will be the craftsman behind communications initiatives and campaigns for the organisation, develop a variety of skills and have a hand in bringing art closer to the masses.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the curatorial team to strategise and execute marketing and public relations campaigns for all programmes
  • Content creation and management of all marketing and communications materials, including EDMs, social media, online advertising and offline marketing collaterals
  • Research and analyse market trends
  • Manage public relations, including cultivating relationships with media representatives, crafting press releases, media monitoring and pitching.
  • Assist in sales, B2B outreach, and maintaining online listings
  • Assist the team in execution of programmes

Requirements

Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field. Candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in conceptualising and executing digital marketing plans
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in an accessible manner
  • Strong understanding of social media
  • Detail oriented and able to multitask within tight deadlines
  • Creative, quick-thinking and ability to learn fast.

Preferred
  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a marketing role
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing skills
  • Knowledge about the local and/or regional visual arts scene
