Volunteer since 2025

Abigail has loved the arts from a young age, believing in its power to inspire conversation and reflection. Her growing interest in culture and history led her to discover OH! on Instagram, where she was drawn to the organisation’s unique blend of art and culture, inspiring her to volunteer.

Volunteer since 2025

Amy transitioned from a devoted OH! supporter to a volunteer guide, motivated by a desire to decode the artworks. While she cherishes the neighbourhood stories and feels connected to the communities, she’s keen to sharpen her art appreciation skills. She’s learning with you!

Volunteer since 2012

Simin joined OH! initially because she was confused by modern art and wanted to find out what the fuss was all about. Since then, she has not only discovered the fuss but also grew to love how OH! uses art to uncover stories of the people, place and history in the neighborhoods the Art Walk goes to.

Angèle is an art sceptic who doesn’t always get what she’s looking at – BUT she’s discovered volunteering with OH! is a brilliant way to learn about local art, and is loving the community, too. Doesn’t mean she agrees with all art has to say, but she has no qualms about trying to convince you to.

Annabel is your friendly neighbourhood kaypoh. Volunteering with OH! lets her yap about art and community stories—sometimes profound, often hilarious. She hopes to inspire others to explore their neighbourhoods (including her son, who still prefers Paw Patrol over people).

As an avid reader, Aqilah hopes to go beyond the pages of a book and discover more of what our local arts scene has to offer. On top of making new friends and experiencing new places, she’s excited to begin her journey with OH!

Bao En, stories are what give Singapore soul. She is an avid supporter of the arts, heritage, local creatives, third spaces and ground-up community efforts.

Charmaine decided to volunteer as a guide for OH! as she was intrigued by its concept of hosting art in people’s homes. OH! also provided her with an opportunity to hone her public speaking skills, and she is excited to continue sharing her love for art and heritage with the community.

Chathuni is a feminist with a reading habit. She also enjoys contemporary art and theatre—especially works that help her become better acquainted with her chosen home, Singapore. Outside of play, Chathuni works on public policy in the corporate sector.

Claudia

Claudia loves history, heritage, and noticing what lies beyond the surface of the everyday. OH! brings these interests to life through art and conversation. A lover of textile and fabric arts, especially knitting, she enjoys exploring the stories woven into places and looks forward to sharing this curiosity with others.

French by birth, Singaporean by curiosity, she is a museum docent and heritage enthusiast who freely admits she doesn’t always get contemporary art. Through every volunteering adventure, she hopes to learn more about Singapore’s stories and arts—and joyfully share whatever she’s discovered along the way.

Drishti is a designer with a deep passion for arts, heritage, and community engagement. When she's not creating, she’s volunteering, painting, cooking, or taking long walks that fuel her creativity. Volunteer since 2025

Dylan came across OH! while looking for something to “sidequest” in his free time (“I saw an Instagram Story :D”). He enjoys learning about Singapore’s many histories and exploring ways to reference and reflect upon them. He hopes visitors will have fun experiencing the exhibitions on the upcoming Art Walks!

Elena is a passionate art enthusiast who finds joy in exploring the world of art and sharing her discoveries. Inspired by OH!'s innovative approach to showcasing Singapore's rich and diverse narratives, she strives to make art and heritage accessible and exciting for everyone.

Volunteer since 2018

Eunice is a serial hobbyist who fell down the guiding rabbit hole when she volunteered for OH! Emerald Hill in 2018. She loves that it’s given her an excuse to hoard more trivia and connected her with friends, forgotten relatives and interesting people whose paths she might never have crossed.

Fahmi Sedek
Volunteer since 2025

Fahmi is a design-driven art director who enjoys exploring cultures, spaces, and the stories behind them. He joined OH! Open House partly for fun and partly because he missed the art scene. Volunteering offers him a refreshing break from commercial work and a meaningful way to reconnect with the arts and creative community.

Hafiz Rashid
Volunteer since 2023

Hafiz Rashid is a museum docent and storyteller. His research interests include learning about the history, folklore and languages of the Malay Archipelago, with a special focus in textiles. You'll likely catch him wearing these textiles in his tours and storytelling sessions.

Jamie joined OH! to connect people through everyday spaces, artistic creations, and shared stories. Majoring in history many moons ago shaped her curiosity about the tales that sustain our myriad identities, and she is excited to spark fresh conversations about master and alternative narratives.

Jay joined OH! as a volunteer after being a guest of different OH! programmes. He wanted to better connect with the art community in Singapore and support OH! in its story-telling mission. As a non-local, joining OH! has allowed him to deepen his understanding of his chosen home

After joining the corporate hellscape, Jewel realised that she needed to find a personality outside of work. She joined as a volunteer in 2023 and fell in love with the passion OH! exuded. (P.S She really loves animals and she has a dog. Send cute animal pics!)

Jessie first joined OH! after a friend promised volunteering would be fun—though said friend retired after one art walk. Drawn to stories beyond history textbooks, she guides with gusto and curiosity. As a proud serial hobbyist, Jessie sews, crochets, cooks, crafts candles, cuts hair, and does nails too.

Jia Min loves hearing and sharing the stories behind each piece of art and each artist, no matter the medium. She especially enjoys writing, performance arts, and learning (about anything).

With a passion for art, connecting with people, Judith was drawn to OH! and its electric mix of community, creativity and curiosity. She’s been volunteering for OH! Since 2016 and has loved every minute of it.

Kaelyn is a student of the arts with a developing interest in its social and cultural impacts. Stories are her first love, and she hopes to find more inspiration and inspire others to write their own through her work with OH!

After witnessing familiar spaces come alive through art at Joo Chiat and Potong Pasir, Ka Leng joined OH! as a volunteer guide, hoping to share the same magic with guests. She is a corporate slave by day and a bookworm by night. You can find her musings on IG at @lesenwanderer.

Kartikha shares stories using data at her day job and loves getting to do the same through art at OH! She enjoys exploring various art forms. She joined OH! to immerse herself in the arts and learn more about community stories and site-specific art.

Kevin started volunteering with OH! to practice his public speaking skills and learn more about Singapore. Over the years, what he’s enjoyed most about OH! has been discovering a new sense of intimacy and belonging to Singapore’s neighbourhoods through storytelling and exploration.

Koon Yen first joined OH! as a volunteer because of his kaypoh disposition and stayed for the next decade because of the passionate people he found at OH!. His love for stories keeps him motivated to enthrall the visitors with tales he has learned.

Melissa is an urban economist and hobby artist who enjoys finding creative ways to inject the arts into urban environments. She is excited to do this through volunteering with OH! while connecting with creatives and fellow art enthusiasts.

Due to her background in theatre, both onstage and behind-the-scenes, She has always loved interacting with people through the arts and has an interest in working out the logistics that goes behind arts.

Reisha has spent her whole life immersed in art of some kind and was drawn to OH!’s volunteering programme through its focus on community-based art. Through volunteering, she hopes to meet local artists and art lovers alike, and to deepen her love for all forms of art and the stories they can tell.

Ron attended his first Art Walk back in 2011 and was fascinated by how hidden local stories unfolded through the medium of art. Despite his fear of speaking to a crowd, he made a fortuitous decision to switch from participant to storyteller after receiving an OH! newsletter in his inbox.

Shrishti likes volunteering with local arts organisations, including OH!, to make new and interesting connections with people and see cool art. Ask her about her favourite films and bands!

Suanny loves uncovering the heritage, culture, and stories that make our neighbourhoods unique. She joined OH! to be involved in community art, and she’s excited to help more people connect with the rich history around us. In her free moments, she’s on the hunt for hidden street food gems.

Timothy loves telling stories, especially to young children, and enjoys listening to them even more. When he’s not hunting for good food around Singapore, he goes for ice baths, as the weather is far too hot for his liking despite being born and bred close to the equator.

Uwe is fascinated by art and history, whether big or small, displayed in exhibition spaces or found in everyday life. He is drawn to OH!’s ambition to connect contemporary art with local neighbourhood history, as well as the opportunity to engage with people who share his passion. XY is a kaypoh arty-fart who loves art and learning, and enjoys dropping random nuggets of information on unsuspecting audiences. When volunteering with OH! as a guide, at least she can drop it on a knowing audience who signed up for it.

Yi Xuan loves history, art, and learning about the stories that shape everyday communities. She joined OH! to explore how neighbourhoods, memories, and lived experiences can be translated into meaningful art encounters

Volunteer since 2013

YH loves her work in STEM, but spends time outside of work on wholly unrelated interests such as enjoying the arts, discovering historical facts and learning to appreciate design and architecture. She has no recollection how she ended up volunteering for OH! but someone probably capitalised her kaypoh.

Zhi Yi

In search of her next side quest, Zhi Yi joined OH! to live out her childhood dream of being a tour guide and to put her yapping to good use. With a keen interest in the arts, she also hopes to show Singaporeans the interesting stories that lie in our own backyard.

Calliope joined OH! for the opportunity to better immerse herself in the local art scene. With an avid passion for art, she thoroughly enjoys working with OH! to tell stories through art to you. In her free time, she enjoys collecting little trinkets.

Julie joined as a volunteer to give back and have fun doing it. OH! drew her in with its community-first spirit and fresh approach. She’s excited to meet new people and learn something new about Singapore. Fun fact: Julie dragon boats, so teamwork and paddling hard are her thing! 🚣‍♂️

Nellys joined OH! to learn more about Singapore and its people. What drew her to OH! was not only its sharing of alternative stories, but also its use of art to tell them. Her other interests include taking cooking classes, exploring Singapore on foot, and volunteering with a neighbouring church.

Fun fact: You'll often spot Richard as the designated traffic and safety marshal at our programmes–a role he started at OH!: Joo Chiat. His proactiveness and watchful eye were unforgettable, leading him to be our go-to guy for the job!

Shimei
Volunteer since 2016

Shimei started volunteering because she enjoyed the alternative stories shared by OH! and our pursuit to bring together art, artists, and communities. She loves seeing people coming away from OH!'s programmes with a fresh perspective. When she's not volunteering, you're most likely to find Shimei exploring the great outdoors.

Tisya Wong
Volunteer since 2025

Tisya is a curious being, in both definitions of the word. She joined OH! out of a fascination with the (his)stories that lie in the cracks of the spaces we inhabit and the objects we own, as well as a desire to contribute to the local arts scene.

Wong Jing Wen
Volunteer since 2023

Jing Wen is a Literary Arts student at SOTA and is keen to expand beyond her discipline. She is glad that OH! allows her to explore the multifaceted arts scene in Singapore. Aside from Literary Arts, Jing Wen enjoys taking long walks in markets and Kampong Gelam, and sampling every perfume she chances upon.
