Simin joined OH! initially because she was confused by modern art and wanted to find out what the fuss was all about. Since then, she has not only discovered the fuss but also grew to love how OH! uses art to uncover stories of the people, place and history in the neighborhoods the Art Walk goes to.

Volunteering with OH! lets Amelia share her passion for art, history, and storytelling in the most fun way! As a trained art historian and proud history nerd, Amelia love meeting new people and uncovering hidden tales and quirky histories they’ve never heard before. Let’s explore together!

Angèle is an art sceptic who doesn’t always get what she’s looking at – BUT she’s discovered volunteering with OH! is a brilliant way to learn about local art, and is loving the community, too. Doesn’t mean she agrees with all art has to say, but she has no qualms about trying to convince you to.

Annabel is your friendly neighbourhood kaypoh. Volunteering with OH! lets her yap about art and community stories—sometimes profound, often hilarious. She hopes to inspire others to explore their neighbourhoods (including her son, who still prefers Paw Patrol over people).

As an aspiring artist, Dayna joined OH! to get a behind-the-scenes look at how community-based art comes to life in Singapore. You’ll usually find her at art and history museums, catching a show at the theatre, or in her room, where she brings her musical fantasies to life.

Eunice is a serial hobbyist who fell down the guiding rabbit hole when she volunteered for OH! Emerald Hill in 2018. She loves that it’s given her an excuse to hoard more trivia and connected her with friends, forgotten relatives and interesting people whose paths she might never have crossed.
Geri Lim

Geri began as a curious guest at OH! Marine Parade (2011). By day, she an advertising media marketer but her curiosity in the behind-the-scenes of arts led her to volunteer. It’s the passion, knowledge-sharing, and camaraderie of OH! which keep her engaged and inspired to this day.
Hafiz Rashid
Volunteer since 2023
Hafiz Rashid is a museum docent and storyteller. His research interests include learning about the history, folklore and languages of the Malay Archipelago, with a special focus in textiles. You'll likely catch him wearing these textiles in his tours and storytelling sessions.
Hanming Wang

Hanming is an artist and illustrator who loves volunteering with OH!, where she connects with local communities through art, history, and shared stories. Passionate about fostering connections, she also enjoys urban sketching during her travels, capturing the essence of each place she visits.

Jay joined OH! as a volunteer after being a guest of different OH! programmes. He wanted to better connect with the art community in Singapore and support OH! in its story-telling mission. As a non-local, joining OH! has allowed him to deepen his understanding of his chosen home.

Jem joined OH! as she is curious about art and and alternative narratives. Despite her tiny stature, she has a loud voice relative to her size ;) outside of OH she likes whipping up a good home cooked meal and pilates.

After joining the corporate hellscape, Jewel realised that she needed to find a personality outside of work. She joined as a volunteer in 2023 and fell in love with the passion OH! exuded. (P.S She really loves animals and she has a dog. Send cute animal pics!)

Jia Min loves hearing and sharing the stories behind each piece of art and each artist, no matter the medium. She especially enjoys writing, performance arts, and learning (about anything).

With a passion for art, connecting with people, Judith was drawn to OH! and its electric mix of community, creativity and curiosity. She’s been volunteering for OH! Since 2016 and has loved every minute of it.

Kevin started volunteering with OH! to practice his public speaking skills and learn more about Singapore. Over the years, what he’s enjoyed most about OH! has been discovering a new sense of intimacy and belonging to Singapore’s neighbourhoods through storytelling and exploration.

Koon Yen first joined OH! as a volunteer because of his kaypoh disposition and stayed for the next decade because of the passionate people he found at OH!. His love for stories keeps him motivated to enthrall the visitors with tales he has learned.

Volunteering with OH! has honed Pradnya's community engagement skills by sharing the community's hidden stories and weaving them with the narratives behind its artworks to engage audiences. Shihui is so moved by OH!'s serendipity and magic–homeowners welcoming strangers, artists sharing hidden local stories, the super resourceful team and loveliest bunch of volunteer guides. If you ask nicely, she has many juicy behind-the-scenes stories to share!

Shin began his journey with OH! as a die-hard fan of our Art Walks. After experiencing FOMO from missing some editions, he decided volunteering would guarantee he never missed one again. Over the years of guiding, Shin has grown to love talking to strangers (and friends) about this passion.

For Shin Dee, the confluence between art and history that exemplifies OH!'s experiences is what draws her to volunteer in their programmes. The strong connections within the OH! team/volunteer community is what makes her return yearly. In her day job, Shin Dee writes/edits/nags at academics.
Stefan Choo

Stefan joined OH! to deepen his appreciation of sociocultural narratives which define a place. He was most taken by the historical tensions between various players, explored in OH! Kampong Gelam. Outside volunteering, Stefan is also a singer who performs in local productions.
Sudharshan

Experiencing OH! Stories: New World’s End inspired Sudharshan to begin volunteering with OH! as a guide. He is passionate about unearthing alternative stories of Singapore through the work of contemporary local artists. When he's not volunteering, Sudharshan explores the art of weaving narratives with numbers in the fintech space.
XY Lim

XY is a kaypoh arty-fart who loves art and learning, and enjoys dropping random nuggets of information on unsuspecting audiences. When volunteering with OH! as a guide, at least she can drop it on a knowing audience who signed up for it.

YH loves her work in STEM, but spends time outside of work on wholly unrelated interests such as enjoying the arts, discovering historical facts and learning to appreciate design and architecture. She has no recollection how she ended up volunteering for OH! but someone probably capitalised her kaypoh-ness.

As a Visual Arts student, volunteering with OH! has allowed Joanne to explore further how art connects people from diverse backgrounds while applying her knowledge of art analysis to Singapore's identity. It has been an exciting opportunity to step out of her comfort zone and engage in meaningful artistic conversations.

A curatorial researcher and artist passionate about cultural heritage preservation, she loves exploring history, curating exhibitions, and creating art. When not busy with research or volunteering, she enjoys painting and collecting vintage toys.

Lawra is a cat mama who often finds herself caught between embracing her inner historian/artist or sinking into her bed, surrounded by books and anime. Driven by her kaypoh-ness to see all sides of a story, Lawra joined OH! to get all the tea from Singapore's hidden stories (and it helps her choose her inner historian/artist more too!)

She enjoys talking to people from various walks of life and understanding how art plays a role in it. Outside of volunteering, Pandora is either reading, or listening to her favourite K-Pop group.

Fun fact: You'll often spot Richard as the designated traffic and safety marshal at our programmes–a role he started at OH!: Joo Chiat. His proactiveness and watchful eye were unforgettable, leading him to be our go-to guy for the job!

Shimei started volunteering because she enjoyed the alternative stories shared by OH! and our pursuit to bring together art, artists, and communities. She loves seeing people coming away from OH!'s programmes with a fresh perspective. When she's not volunteering, you're most likely to find Shimei exploring the great outdoors.

TCH's interest in understanding how arts can influence and bring life to human creativity motivated him to join OH! as a volunteer. Catch him in action as a helpful crew member at our programmes.
Wong Jing Wen

Jing Wen is a Literary Arts student at SOTA and is keen to expand beyond her discipline. She is glad that OH! allows her to explore the multifaceted arts scene in Singapore. Aside from Literary Arts, Jing Wen enjoys taking long walks in markets and Kampong Gelam, and sampling every perfume she chances upon.
