1. Where is the starting point? & How do I get there?

It’s at Chatsworth International School in Orchard, Emerald Hill. The exact address is 37 Emerald Hill Road. You can take either the train to Somerset MRT station or buses:

2. How early should I arrive for the walk?

It’s good to arrive 5-10 minutes earlier than what’s stated on your allocated time slot, because you’ll have to register your details with our front desk for security reasons! 

 

 

3. What should I wear/bring?

Comfortable clothing plus easily removable footwear – you have to remove your shoes at all houses. Your ticket as proof of purchase, identification card, water for survival and an umbrella to shield you from the elements! And cash! We'll be selling merchandise. Please support us as a non-profit! 

 

 

4. How long do walks last?

It can be as short as 40 minutes (if you choose to only attend 1 tour) or as long as 2.5 hours (if you choose to do all 4 tours including the epilogue tour). 

 

 

5. Will the walk ever be cancelled? What if it rains?

Nope! Rain or shine, the show will go on! Hence, please bring an umbrella. 

 
 

6. What happens if I fail to turn up? Will I get a refund?

You’ll not get any refunds. But you can try writing in to us and state your reasons. You may/may not get to change your ticket date/time depending on availability and at OH!’s discretion. Alternatively, you can also pass your ticket to someone else. Simply inform us at least one day before your tour, as all tickets are tagged to purchasers. 


7. What happens if I don’t turn up on time?

You’ll be allowed entry, but you won’t be given priority i.e. you will have to queue for the next available tour. Priority will be given to guests who are on time. 


8. Are there any toilet / refreshment breaks?

Under OH!’s house rules (since 2009), you are not allowed use the toilets of the homes – out of respect for the hosts who have kindly volunteered their houses for art and welcomed strangers into their private spaces. However, there are toilets at our starting point available for your use. You can choose to take short breaks after each 40-minute tour, but do take note our last tour leaves at 6:15pm. 


9. If I need to leave the tour halfway, can I return at a later day or time?

You can return at a later time, but do note that our last tour leaves at 6:15pm and priority will not be given to you, but guests who bought their tickets at the allocated time. We do not allow guests to return for the tours at a later date.


After you’ve picked your tour, a guide will come to you when it is time to depart.

11. Can I turn up for the walk without booking online?

Yes, you can, if there are still available tours. You can simply purchase a ticket from our front desk at the starting point. 


Each 40-minute tour will consist of 10 to 15-minutes of walking.

13. How many people are in a group?

Typically 5 - 7 guests per tour group.


Everyone! Young and old. We do have a lot of young families on our tours. Though over the years, we observed that older children (12 and above) tend to enjoy the walks more. 

14. Who can come on the walks? Are the walks family-friendly?


They are not wheelchair-friendly because of the nature of the neighbourhood. Strollers are manageable, but do leave them outside the homes and don’t obstruct others! 

15. Are the walks wheelchair / stroller-accessible? 


Yes, and you can get the discount code from our ticketing platform. 

16. Are there any discounts for students, senior
citizens?


You don’t have to buy a ticket for children of 9 years and below.

17. Do I need to pay for my baby /toddler?
