A passport summarises you in an instant. It opens up the world or damns you to bureaucratic hell. It affirms your identity or is just a booklet with benefits. A way out or a guarantee of a home to come back to.
What do passports mean to you?
For 6 artists and their hosts, passports prompted conversations about identity, belonging, home, privilege and even love. Each artist worked with their hosts to create new artworks and experiences. Come see them in March through a series of pop-up experiences in different locations across the island.

Ezzam Rahman × Hernie & André
What would you do to be with the one you love? Fly between two cities, count your time in miles, keep cumulus clouds for company – even if every trip feels like it ends the instant it begins.
Artist Ezzam Rahman plays the role of a postman for hosts Hernie & André who are based in different cities – they’ve written letters for each other over the course of 3 months. Now, Ezzam delivers the letters to them, and to you, in a series of video and light installations.
This house has two cats. This is an indoor experience.

The act of walking is precious. Forget your destination. Slow down, take a wrong turn, stop – each action an opportunity to experience the city in a new light.
Artist ila and host Xiou Ann invite you to join them in a sensorial walk through town. They offer you a bag filled with unexpected tools to navigate and document the neighbourhood. Pay attention to your surroundings and slowly the unfamiliar becomes familiar.
This is an outdoor experience and is a rain or shine event.

This experience takes place both outdoors and indoors.
